I received an automated call around 12:30p that I had received twice a few months ago talking about student loan forgiveness. I pressed 1 to be directed to a woman saying that their company ensures that if you're approved for their student loan forgiveness program, people are able to have their loan amount forgiven after x amount of time. She asked about annual income, loan amount, and social security. She then saw my loan amount and said that I was approved to continue moving forward in the process. We filled out basic information such as an address, phone number, email address, and references. Afterward, she said that I could make 5 payments of $240, and afterward, I'd be paying $0 for x amount of time until my loans are eventually forgiven. She asked for credit card info and signatures on some documents that were sent over. Then, I was transferred to someone who verified that the information was correct and told that they were going to send my application over to the department of education. Once they received any notice, they would contact me. However, I had to make the first payment to receive such information. They gave me the customer service line and the call was ended.
