Found this page and saw a couple other people had the same thing happen to them. It was hard to find information about this being a scam due to Sesame being a real company and having information online and a BBB certification. I was messaging a Carol Noland on Microsoft Teams and they were not providing any specific details about the “vendor” for job equipment and finding stories about being sent faulty checks I knew it was a scam. Trying to reach the actual Sesame Inc to inform them and in the process of reporting the scammers to the proper authorities. The number that contacted me was (628) 277-5956

I recently have had the same experience. The phone number that I received the initial text is: 628-277-5956. The same guy, etc. I was really skeptical but when he said that they would send a check for me to purchase the equipment that I needed. I knew for sure that it was. I am trying to find out how to report this on LinkedIn and Indeed so that no one else falls for it.

I was contacted over text, then prompted to go to Microsoft teams for a briefing and interview. It was for a remote data entry job with the company Sesame. I was talking with a Douglas Egan. I found out it was a scam by calling Sesame and telling them what happened and they said they have been having this happen a lot.
