After correspondence with the suppose landlord through Zillow with 4444 Woodmere, we learn he preferred to do a majority of the leasing process through turbotenant which is a reputable rent by owner platforn. His profile verified with the name John Paul Fuller, same matching name and contact information with all my searches including the tax accessor search.

Communications began through turbo tenant and I felt good with this form of communication plus also by email with a couple phones.

Filled out the TurboTax checks/income verification. Provided security deposit by Bank Check/Cashier Check of $3500 for first month rent, security deposit, and per deposit last month. Agreed on a May 3 move in, I was provided a completed lease.

The weekend before the 3rd, I started researching out to the supposed landlord to make arrangement for a key but none of his contacts reach anyone. Out of desperate, I search the name or the LLC made out on bank check, only to run across this. ?

What I learned is John Paul Fuller identity has been fully stolen and the thieves are running all kind of financial scams using the stolen item. Be very aware of John Paul Fuller until he gets his identity back.

Unfortunately, I’m another person who got scammed with the 4444 Woodmere St rental property. Luckily I paid with a bank check so I have recourse financially but completely screwed with time as I start a new job in Jacksonville in one week with a box truck full of all my belongings 1,000 miles away in Texas and back to square 1 with finding somewhere to live.

If this man contacts you about a rental property of his run as fast as you can, he is a fruad and John Paul Fuller is not in even his name nor does he own any properties.
