I was scammed by people claiming to sell puppies. Between Western Union and Zelle they took my husband and I for $2559.00. That is the cost of puppy, crate rental and caution insurance. The shipping company tried to get us for $1999.00 more but I didn't pay anymore. They threatened with animal abuse and abandonment, also with sending said puppy to a shelter if we didn't pay it. I called the seller out on the scam. Showed a screenshot of info on them that my lawyers office found online. I'm trying to recoup money but through Zelle is hopeless. Money sent to Western Union was from our debit card for $1780.00. Our bank is trying to work with us by putting a stop on the payment due to scam. The man I talked to on the phone from the shipping company had and accent from India. Those phone calls were not from the same number. I didn't realize that until it was to late. This was an expensive lesson learned, sadly.
