I was selling a product on Facebook Marketplace when I was contacted by a potential buyer. They asked for my Venmo user name and email address. I received emails which appeared to be from Venmo stating I needed to upgrade my account to a business account. The buyer stated they had covered this $500 cost, and I needed to refund the $500 to receive the payment. I received instructions in an email appearing to be from Venmo regarding how to ‘refund’ this money.
