Selexis S.A. Reports & Reviews (1)

I was contacted about a work from home position. The scammer/s represented themselves as a part of a company named Selexis S.A. I hadn't directly applied to any such named company, but I am currently active on employment boards as I am seeking employment. I was told my resume had been "selected off offline". I was explained I would be interviewed via Skype, which is not odd for these times. However, what was odd was the fact that the entire "interview" took place via chat. No video, no audio. The interview was with a person named "Milton Perdigon", skype's user id is live:.cid.30cadea685450202. I have also report the user to Sype for abuse/ fraud. After the interview the person extended a job offer with an accompanying job offer letter via the email listed on this report. I did sign and return the document. The person advised they would be sending a check to purchase materials for the position, which was one of the things I found suspicious. They instructed I would have to go to a bank teller line to deposit the check, receive a deposit receipt, and send the deposit receipt to them for "documentation". This exacerbated my suspicions. Upon further questioning and inquiry as to this process, I noticed spelling and grammar errors, which I now is a sign, as they could not copy and paste the responses for my question. I asked for an alternative for acquisition of work materials. They explained they would send the check i would deduct $100 as a "bonus" and that they would instruct me how to purchase work materials with the rest. I asked how much the check was. They were not certain as that is the "accounting departing, but somewhere between $2000-2800. I was confident now that it was a scam, especially since I researched scams and the dots were connecting for a potential check scam or employment scam. I had never provider any other personal information other than my name and address. NO SSN, no references, nothing. So why would a big respectable company such as the one they were posing as be so careless with thousands of dollars? The scam was confirmed for me when they replied, "That the policy for new employees to make the purchase so as to ensure they utilise company's funds as a first task...." I hope this information is helpful and the importance of caution be broadcasted. These scammers are unscrupulous.
