When we questioned SelectVO on this situation, they claimed that my company was submitting more than the required amount of auditions than what was stated per job. It was explained to SelectVO that the only time this happened was when a client approved additional submissions. The client's name, phone number and email was listed on these job postings at that time and our procedure was to reach out to the end client directly if we thought we would have more than the requested amount of talent. If the client said they did not want more than say 40 talent submitted, we stopped at 40 if we had 40 auditions. But if the client said they did want more auditions and the job wad listed to take 30 auditions but they wanted more, we communicated outside of the SelectVO agency, because there were never any restrictions on the communication.
Still Select VO did not believe this explanation and they capped ONLY my company's submissions to such a low amount, which then gave us one year of absolutely no work with them. I cannot even say if our submissions were even sent to the end client because we have excellent voice over talent.
In the meantime I have reached out to other agents who use the SelectVO platform and not one of them has a restricted amount of submissions as low as 5 talent per project.
Please beware that this client has the ability to prevent your talent from being heard and or seen. They also prevent write ups of reviews on their company online.
