My client received a call from Ronald Wallis saying there was interest in buying my client's timeshare in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. A letter followed in the mail purporting to provide a "preliminary non-legally binding offer" which was "subject to change once Proof of ownership is received with all correct information for the sale." Given proof of ownership was requested my client contacted me (attorney) to review legitimacy of offer and conduct due diligence. I could never get Ronald Wallis on the phone (never picked up and no option to leave voicemail) and the only way to get in touch with him was if he called my client directly. I then contacted the registered agent for Select Real Estate LLC and was informed that it was indeed his company, that he is also an attorney, and that he has no knowledge of Ronald Wallis and that this was a scam.

Told us they would buy our timeshare week. Needed to pay Mexican Tax fee prior to sale. Have all their documents. After reviewing on line appears . Lonnie Brown the guy who sold us the deal has done this before
