Sent me an unsolicited Check offering me loan. This check for $1000.68 is easy to cash. Suspect it is predatory lending at the least, a scam at the most. If someone else received this check they could try to cash it and make me responsible.

I received a check in the mail from this company for just over $1,000. I had never heard from them before. The paperwork attached to the check said, if I cashed it, I was accepting responsibility to pay it back at 87% interest. There was a phone number to opt out of future offers, which I called, but they wouldn’t remove me from their list unless I gave them my social security number. I called the local office to ask to be removed from their list, but they also refused to remove me unless I called the main number and gave them my social security number.
