I was approached for a secret shopper job through an email sent through my school. I applied and got the job. The next day, they sent a priority check in the mail for $2,450. The instructions were to but $500 Nordstrom gift cards. I cashed the check and used the money to buy 2 gift cards because the entire check did not clear. The next day I checked and the gift card balances were $0. Now, my bank is not clearing the check and I am responsible for the full amount. This needs to be stopped!
