SeaSpan USA Reports & Reviews (11)

These people are preying on Americans who are looking for Work From Home opportunities. Their website is still active www.seaspanusa.com. Why have no one shut them down. They are scamming Americans to do their dirty work of some type of theft. While preying on those of us looking for honest work from home opportunities. I figured that they are actually sending packages with items of value to us after having prospects fill out employment applications, payment information, etc. Now they have all of our personal information and could possibly steal our identity. They are not even from the United States of America. They have a dashboard that looks legit, the website looks legit, their "supervisors" call you, they check in with you when a package is being delivered or shipped. This is an elaborate scam that needs to stop. I did report the fraud of it to the US Secretary of State website for fraud. I hope that someone does something about these people.

They worked me now when it’s time to pay they don’t want to answer my emails, text or phone calls.

I was contacted through email for this position of work from home package handler. After along search for employment on several job sites with no luck after applying 23 different application. I was receiving emails from employer just to let me down cause their are 15,000+ people applying aslo. So i get an email on 2/17/2022 with this offer for employment from home. My bills are stacking to the ceiling i have spent my savings credit cards are maxed-out so i think ok this could get me out the hole and some what on my feet i sent off several packages thinking cool they have me going i would get calls or emails from 3 different managers an supervisors i did this for the last month. When it was the week of my payday calls and emails stopped then i get and email stating no communication legal action is going to be taken on me when. They stopped communicating with me so its my fault i didnt get paid i have phone records emails. Of no communication i also have receipts of packages i sent off several supervisors names and email addresses

I was offered a package handler job via career builder website by Seaspan USA LLC. There was a telephonic interview conducted

which was then followed up by email explaining the job role and offer; I was offered $2450 basic pay with $45 bonus for processing and delivering each package. The role was to receive packages which was sent to my home address, unpack the goods and repack it and use a new shipping label and ship it to new address via UPS or/and Fedex. I was provided login id and password for their system/dashboard which reflected the details of the incoming package and which also provided the new shipping labels. I started the role on March 3rd and was told that I would be paid every month; I was supposed to be paid by 04/03 and starting 1st April, my login credentials were no longer operational, nobody was answering my calls or responding to my emails. After a week, I suspected that this was a scam and looked up on ScamPulse.com story published last year about similar story.

SeaSpan USA or so called, they sent me packages and even an custom dashboard as a tracker as well as all the information about packages when and where they had to be shipped I only had to reseal and repackage take off all labels and send to random person or place they have everything layed out on the website and the constantly called me asking about packages comin in and if I would be able to deliver that day and they even had pick ups at local stores in my area aswell they also answered any questions I had and told me I had multiple supervisors and they also provided me with all the outgoing labels and told me that they were going to send shipping supplies within 6-8 weeks and also told me I would be earning $45 per package and on the website they had my pay set and the bonus adding up every time I dropped off a package so I thought it was legit this was goin on until today April 12th and I haven’t received my pay for the work I was doing as well as gas I was spending.

I was contacted by Seaspan Usa to be employed as a package handler. To reship packages for overseas shipping. I was given access to a dashboard, training and instructions. I was also given employment documents to fill out. Once it got close to the time for me to get paid. I stopped getting packages, emails or any other communication. I reached out to the team of supposed supervisors by telephone and email then I got kicked out of the dashboard. No access. I waited a month and thought I was actually working for someone. picking up and shipping packages. There were iPhones, camera's, etc. I guess they take a chance that the so-called employee will not take the goods because they believe you will get paid for your work. Now after 30 days It was all a scam. Of course, I can't get anyone to return my calls or emails.

I applied for a job on indeed as a package handler. I received a reply and job offer I was a little hesitant but also desperate for employment I sign a contract and I received a on boarding video on to do things a few days later packages started arriving and I was to open the shipping box take pics and wait on them to up load the shipping label I became suspicious when the would rush me to send things immediately I stopped answering calls and started returning the packages to sender no they keep calling and threatening legal action

I shipped a few packages but then I became suspicious because they would rush me to ship the packages out. They're still sending me things I just return to sender.

I was contacted to be a package handler and that I would receive packages at my home and mail them out. I would be payed a fair amount of money (don’t remember exact amount) and would get bonuses on how fast I would ship them. I did that for about two weeks when I started getting suspicious of the whole thing, so I stopped. They tried to keep me to continue doing it but I ignored them and stopped. After the suspicions arised that I thought I was scammed, I figured I wouldn’t be payed and till this day I haven’t and haven’t heard from them either.

Shipped different packages to the house to have me ship them somewhere else after opening the package to send pictures of the item(s).

Initially, I found a job opportunity through Indeed.com. The initial listing, described a work-from-home job opportunity that would require a Package Handler. As a former UPS employee, I figured this would be a good opportunity for me as I was recently working as a package handler there. Once I got contacted by this "company", I had my initial doubts about this being a legitimate company once I received my first email from them. The email address on gmail appeared to be a "risky" email, which made me hesitant to contact further, however I just wanted employment, so I went further. After about a week and a half since the initial email interaction, I received an employment contract from an "HR representative". This job was promising a $2,450 monthly salary, alongside a $45 bonus per package sent out on the day that it was received, bolstering an average monthly income of $4200. After singing the employee contract and sending in my state ID, which they requested I send in, I awaited a phone call from the company. A company representative contacted me by calling the phone number that I provided, and stated that I was fit for the role of Package Handler and that I would begin soon. I later received a few emails, within the emails contained a video detailing what my job would be, and a sign-in link that would allow me to process/report packages. The website allowed me to mark the incoming packages as "received", "sent', and "not received". This page also prompted me to provide a picture of the invoice, the product inside of the shipping box, and a picture of the receipt once I sent in the package. The sign-in page also provided a "help" page, that detailed everything I needed to know about the job. The job required me to receive a package, take pictures of the product and the invoice, remove any former labels from outside the shipping box, and place a new, provided shipping label on the package in order to ship it out. I figured this was easy enough, however the dashboard sign-in page raised a few red flags, The "help" links provided on the page were "bit.ly" links that sent me to google documents. I thought that was somewhat odd as I did not see why using a "bit.ly" link would be necessary. A few days go by and I receive my first package. Now up until this point, while I had a few red flags raised about this job, I did still think it was a legitimate business. However, the package that I had to reship was an expensive smartwatch, and while it was addressed to my address, the name on the package was addressed to someone else. Once I saw that this package was addressed to someone else, I instantly knew that something was wrong. Later that night, I looked into scams dealing with work-from-home opportunities and I discovered the existence of Mule Reshipping scams. I had fully believed in this company up until this point. Once I realized that I was going to be used as a "mule" I knew that I had to return the smartwatch back to the seller immediately as I did not know the means in which the company used to send it to my house. It could've been purchased using stolen credit cards. I contacted company that sent the smartwatch, and told them that I was sent a package addressed to someone else, to my address, and I wanted a return shipping label so I could send it back. They later provided a return label and I sent the smart watch back. However, the scam company became very irritable once I told them that I sent the package back to the original company. They repeatedly called me, and accused me of stealing the smartwatch. They emailed me various times, threatening legal action against me. The one time that I answered one of their calls, the lady on the phone interrupted my explanation and repeatedly called me a thief then proceeded to hang up. These interactions further provided evidence that this was not a legitimate company, as they are currently accusing me of stealing and are still threatening legal action against me despite me never stealing anything from them, I only returned a product that was never theirs to begin with.
