ScotiaBank Reports & Reviews (6)

Received an email to my work email regarding a tax bill/grant code request which I never made. This could be a result of Scotiabank's data breach earlier this year since I do bank with them as well as they have my name and mortgage number correct. Needed my email so I assume they Googled my name and found my work email, which I don't use and never have used for banking/mortgage.

After a chat conversation saying they are legit and I checked reviews,I will not use this bank.

I get MULTIPLE calls a day from the number 18443206431. Immediately after you answer the call, there is this tune that is played. It sounds like one of those old "BREAKING NEWS!" reporter tunes from the 80s. After there is an automated message claiming to be from scotiabank saying I have a confidential message for (insert name). It then asks you to stay on the line to be connected, and then it sends you to another anutomated section.

IT IS SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!! I've blocked their number, and registered with the Do Not Call Registry. They still call me. Even though I've blocked their number, it still goes through to voicemail, and so my voicemail always fills up with this dumb scam. I've contacted me service provider and they said they can't do much on their end, except change my number (which I can't do).

+1

Calling regularly, pretending to be from Scotiabank, knows my name, and starts asking me about personal information like postal code, date of birth. It sound like a recorded, robotic message.

I received a call from a supposed Scotia Bank rep offering to lower my credit card interest rate. I contacted my Scotia bank and was told they have no such program and that this is a scam.

received a spam email from a bank that I do not use:
