I applied for a job at this company using Ziprecruiter and went on to have a text interview through the Telegram app. Once they had decided that I would fill the position they sent an overnight check in the mail for me to use to buy home office equipment and software programs. The check wasn’t able to be processed at my bank and once I notified the company they asked if I would be willing to use my own money to pay for the software programs so I could begin training. I told them I couldn’t afford to do that at this time and have yet to hear back. I’m worried that some of the onboarding paperwork I filled out and sent to them has sensitive personally identifying information in it and I’m worried about what they might do with the information.
