I applied for a "personal assistant" position through Indeed.com, as it was a job posted, and listed for South Carolina. Communication for the job position was done via email, and the "employer" ran a "background check", which he sent a verification form for that confirming information for the background check. After this, days later I was notified via email that I was given the job, and given a tracking number to track a check that would arrive in the mail, and it is a check that covers "business expenses" and also my "weekly pay". When I went to the bank to attempt to deposit the check inside the bank as the ATM was not working, the staff member said this check "could be real or could be fraudulent", however, the staff would not bring a manager out to have the manager verify whether the check was legitimate, or fake. I did a mobile deposit. My "Employer" then had me transfer "$2,000.00" to my cash app, and had me buy "$2,000.00 worth of Bitcoin", and then had me transfer the BitCoin to a specific wallet. The wallet they had me transfer the bitcoin to is the following Wallet: "1K7UTse1xg2V9D14zZXjyDmGNo4WUgxdY". After this, he told me to transfer the other $2,000 to cash app and buy $2,000 more of bitcoin. The check he sent was a total of "$4, 805.65 from the "SCHWOB Building Company Ltd". When I called this company in Dallas, Texas, I was told I had to speak to an accountant on the "third floor" about the check. The second transfer was blocked by my bank, Navy Federal Credit Union, as they had put a hold on my account, as they attempted to get the money from the account the check as written for several days but were not successful. I received a voicemail from my bank, and I was told when I called back, that this check appears real, and is written from an account that is "now closed". I was then advised by the appropriate authorities to file an IC3 complaint with the FBI cybercrime division, as well as file a local police report, both of which I have done, and to consult and retain an attorney, which I am now in the process of looking for. My bank account is in a negative $2,000.00, the bank does not care, they will not help, they will not make it so I do not have to pay this balance when they are aware I am a victim of financial fraud, money laundering, and very likely identity theft in the future as the employer has enough information from a "background check" to steal my identity and end up using it for the criminal activity this "employer" and "company" is involved with. I have handed over copies of the check, copies of all email communications, all text messages to the local police department, as well as screenshots of all cash app activity my "employer" had me do. My "employer" is not responding to texts, emails, nothing, complete silence. Do not trust Indeed when applying to any jobs PERIOD. It is not a legitimate website and they do not determine if jobs are legal and legitimate, or if they appear legitimate but are in deed schemes to launder money illegally.The person did not steal any money as I had none, but this person, my "employer" made me transfer money before the deposit went through therefore causing me to use the banks money and intentionally my employer put me into the negatives and screwed me financially with my own bank, as I have a negative bank balance I cannot pay back and should not have to pay back at all given I'm the victim of financial fraud and money laundering.
