A text comes up randomly displaying the phone number that it came from stating that she is Mrs M**** ******** winner of the 758 Million in the mega millions Jackpot and is donating to 200 random individuals and that if you received this text you were selected after a spin ball. Also stated she has spread most of her wealth over a number of charities and organizations and has voluntarily decided to donate the sum of $5000 USD to me as one of the selected 200 and as the next step you must verify your winnings by sending a text to the agent in charge. In this case the agent was James Hite and you must text him at 740-******73 for confirmation and delivery of your winning. Once you text the number stating you received the message from Mavis and are texting him as instructed, James texts back stating he is in charge of your winning. He states:Note! You are not to send any money to anyone to claim your winnings but you must text him back your valid Email and confirm your full name so they can check it out in the winning list. Once you have done that he texts back a Congrats, your name is among the winners on the list and next step is to fill out the claim requirement form for receiving your payment. To do that you have to send clear pictures of the front and back of your Drivers License, and current mailing address. Next you receive a new text message with a selfie link tap on the link from California CDD, ID.me, to follow directions to do a scan selfie of face for further identification. Once that processes he asked for my SSN which I refused. Next text is a confirmation that my payment is under way and do I prefer a Check, Walmart Debit card or Direct Deposit. I stated a check. Next 2 texts are for my SSN again stating it is the unique identifier to confirm my identity and it will not affect my credit score. I refused again. All of a sudden the next text was Congrats, your identity has been verified and your check will be mailed to your home address. But, of course, there was 1 more text w/1 last link for the USPS verification which I did and received a Completed and processing text. That was the end of the texting. Haven't heard anything else from the Mavis one but I did get a new text from M***** *****o, Powerball winner today who claimed my gift to be $50,000 from him. This text started thru the same process as the Mavis text but I did not engage in this one.
