I applied for the job on LinkedIn. Originally they text my cell phone number I later tried to call and it was a google text now number. The job was an assistant administrator position. They sent me a link to invite on Microsoft teams. They later emailed me a offer letter to return. They sent me a W9 because I wouldn’t just give them my bank account deposite information. They they told me they needed to do a background check through IDME.COM so they got that information. They then sent me a PDF check through email and asked me to mobile deposite it in my account and let them know when done so they could direct me how to purchase the software and equipment needed to do the remote job. I went to the bank and was told the check was a fake check.
