I saw an add on Craigslist for a rental listing and called the number on the add to “Randy Blake”. I talked to this person and I was being vigilant and careful for scams but what made me drop my guard was that this person had accent to the apartment and offered to show it to me. He gave me access to the vacant unit and I was able to enter apt. 17 at 7423 Lankershim blvd North Hollywood CA 91605 and see the unit myself to see if it was of my liking. “Randy Blake” who alleged to work and managed the Building for the owner Steve Wilson at (7423 Lankershim blvd North Hollywood Ca. 91605). After seeing the vacant unit 17 and being able to go inside the apartment and walk through the whole unit at 7423 Lankershim Blvd Randy offered to give me an application for the unit which was emailed to me by Randy Blake from his email [email protected] after receiving the application, i filled it out and return it to [email protected]. He contact me and he said it was $50to run the application and the payment need it to be sent via Zelle to Steve Wilson at [email protected]. Payment was sent by me and a day later Randy contact me and he asked if i want to rent and sign the lease to Apartment 17 that everything looked good to move forward. The lease agreement was email to me to go over and signed. The agreement to this lease was from February 1, 2022 to February of 2023. I signed and A deposit of $1150 plus $200 deposit for appliances and First months rent of $1150 was sent to Steve Wilson via zelle to atpcorp33@gmail. Com. When it came to move in to the apartment at 7423 Lankershim #17 someone else had already moved in who i talked to and said they were the new tenants of the apartment. I tried to contact steve wilson and randy blake but neither person answer my calls of emails. I also tried to contact the company who manages the building, SAUER MANAGEMENT, BUT no one bother to contact me back. I started to do some online investigation and research on my part for this aprtment building and the management company and i found some similar postings online about scams related by this so called Randy on the same building who are managed by sAuER Company.
