There was a person on facebook who is part of a dog rescue group of South Florida. After losing 2 of our dogs this year we were desperate to find a new dog to love. After making a post about available puppies I had messaged this person to inquire. After going back and forth for a bit we agreed that we can go pick up the puppy in a few weeks and leave a deposit of $300. After transferring money to their zelle account the person got very suspicious to me and was requesting I pay the balance for the puppy today and go pick it up in a few weeks still. After making it clear that I will not be giving any more money I explained how suspicious I was and I requested my money be sent back to me immediately (which in a perfect world would of happened). This did not happen I was rejected then blocked on facebook and have no way of contacting this person any longer. They gave me a fake address which was an empty lot and stopped contacting me. All i have is an email address that is linked to their zelle chase account. I am not even sure chase will be able to guarantee me a refund but this is a scammer who is out for vulnerable people that are looking for a puppy.
