Person was referred to me by a friend's friend who said they were moving away and wanted to rehome their dog and cat. I chatted with this person, who seemed reliable, and they asked me to sign a bill of sale and make a deposit through Zelle. Then, the following week they said the vet asked for $300. The person was unable to pay the vet directly because their paycheck had not come in yet. I paid another $300 through Zelle, this amount was subtracted from the remaining amount. After some suspicion, I reverse Google image searched the photos of both pets and found that they were taken from other social media accounts.
