The company Russell's Rapid Electricans LLC advertises online as a 24 hour service for electrical repair services. I had emergency electrical work i needed done and was able to schedule an inspection/estimate through the company for the next day. Two men came out to determine what needed to be fixed and told me that I would need to pay half upfront, $1,399.00, to cover the cost of the local permits required to repair my electrical issue. Our verbal agreement was that the company would apply for the permits, work with the local power company to schedule a repair date, and come back in the next couple of weeks to start repairs. No work was done by the company. A month later I had heard nothing from the company and called for a follow-up. The employee answering the phone would not answer questions and put me on hold until I was eventually hung up on. I called several more times asking to speak with the electrician who had come to my house and was either transferred to a person unaffiliated with Russell's Rapid Electricians LLC or I was hung up on. After a few more attempts the company blocked both my phone number and my husband's phone number. I then tried calling the company using a different phone number and was able to get through to a person immediately. However, when I told the employee i did not want to be transferred I was ignored and transferred to an Angie's List agent who was unaffiliated with Russell's Rapid Electricians LLC and had never heard of the company. At this point I was concerned and checked with the state and local power company to see if the electricians had been in contact. The company had never submitted a request to the state for permits and had never contacted the local power company to notify them of the repairs. I then learned that I could validate the company's business license through the state's LNI website and found that the company was not licensed, insured, or bonded. I also noticed after the fact that the company does not have a website or address listed, uses only stock photos in their advertisement, and lists reviews that appear to be made by fake accounts.
