My sister received an email to her school email with an employment offer for a part-time teacher's assistant position. She shared this information with me and she told the sender, a man by the name of ****** *****, that I was interested in the position. He then asked my sister for my social security number, phone number, email address, a picture of my driver's license, and physical home address. After she gave him my information, he sent an employment contract to my email. I signed the contract and he sent me two checks of $1,950 to my home address to cover the expenses of a seminar (they didn't tell me what it was for, but I thought I had to take it before I started the job). Each check was sent from a different company name: the first check was from **** ***** *** in Alabama and the other one was from ********** ********** ****/DA ******* ***** **. in New York. After that, he told me to pay a stationary supplier representative, ********* ******, with the checks that he gave me. I deposited the checks to my bank account and paid this supplier through ***** with an email address that he gave me: ***********@gmail.com. ***** only allowed me to transfer $1,000 a day, so I had to pay the rest through Google Play. ****** ***** then asked me through text for a picture of the confirmation numbers that both checks were deposited (******** and ********). I sent him the picture. After that, he stopped responding to my texts and emails. Later I find that he disputed one of the checks to my bank, my bank account went negative, and it got blocked. Now I'm drained from my savings ($1,700). I just want my money back, my rightfully hard-earned money.
