Scammer stated I owed $25,566.76 in past debt in 2012 to Wells Fargo. They threatened to garnish my wages. I didn’t think I owed it but knew I would lose my job if they did that. I agreed to make payment arrangements thinking it was a debt, my name was on, that my ex never paid. After the phone call I called Wells Fargo which they stated I never owed them anything and any amount after 7 years gets written off. Now that they have documents with my electronic signature, I’m now afraid I owe them but they have Wells Fargo listed on the paperwork, so I think I am not liable. I’m a cancer survivor and have “chemo brain”, and sometimes get confused and now I’ve been played.
