My friend was happily announcing that she just adopted a kitten and told me that she sent $750 to these people via Zelle. She was supposed to receive her cat in a couple of days, but wasn’t feeling completely good about the whole thing and asked me if I would contact them about the kitten she was supposed to be receiving because the kitten was still on the website. I was told that the kitten was still available. She confronted the, with this information. When I Googled the phone number that was in the e-mail that they sent me, it appeared to belong to a lab at USC. The address they gave my friend was on the Better Business Bureau website as another cattery that turned out to be a scam on this website. They tried to regain her confidence, but as she sent more and more information that blew holes in their story, the person she dealt finally got belligerent with her.
