Bought Roku 2 years ago-was charged a fee at that time to set up. Since that time have seen news stories about this scam with Roku- and they are not supposed to charge a fee .Received notification this morning that my credit card had been charged $253.00 for a renewal fee. Have also received a text and VM from someone calling themselves- Alex from phone # 209-372-7211-stating acct on hold due to upgrade.

Hello Michelle, Alex this side we helped you to setup your Roku last year. Michelle your account is on hold beacuse we need to upgrade the services for your TV soon. after that if your account is not updated as per new policy your TV will stop working.
