I purchased two Roku brand televisions and I preceded to activate the tv and encountered a problem so I called the phone number listed. That is when the person on the other end of the phone stated I had to pay for activation. So in October 2020 I paid by debit card at a cost of $100. Now I received a text on April 27 2021 stating my Roku service was about to expire and that I had to pay $250 to keep my service. I would not had taken the text serious if it had not been for my two TVs service shutting down. That is when my daughter told me to call the roku company. The Roku company told me they don’t charge activation fees and said they have no idea who the person was that I paid in October or who the people are from the email. I emailed the roku company the text message that I had received and that they would investigate the matter. I hope they do. Can you help me too? People need to know that there is someone out impersonating this company and scamming people of their money.
