Jeff DePaola, owner of RMRM posted a rental listing on vrbo. We agreed on a total price. We were charged and extra vrbo fee that was not included in the total he quoted. This has not been refunded. When we arrived at the rental building, the keys to the building didn’t work. He didn’t answer the phone to resolve the issue until we were already on our way home. He refuses to give any refund whatsoever. Read the Yelp reviews-he has done this and other shady practices to many others. He became verbally abusive on the phone when I asked reasonably for the vrbo refund-he called me a pain in the a** and a jerk and hung up on me. He should not be in business with these business practices. Also the actual rental building was run-down, unsafe and scary. He is the definition of a slum-lord.
