I received an email from my bank telling me my account was overdrawn. I knew there could be no way. My husband always took care of the bank account and when he was killed last year I went to the bank to find out where I stood and he had left enough money in there to cover the bills for a few months. I started being very frugal so it would last me as long as possible. I went online to look at my account and saw I was overdrawn and started looking at my transactions and there it was. Someone had taken all my money. It was listed as The Robinhood Fund. I have never even heard of them. I looked down below it and the same name had credited me $0.36 and $0.41. I called the bank immediately and filed a complaint. They closed the account. I asked them about the $0.36 and $0.41 and they said that is how the thieves find out if you have money in your account. I hope I get my money back, but the bank has to do an investigation. So I have to wait and see. Since I know how hard it is to live on just social security, I thought someone needs to make people aware of this scam.
