James Loy Roberts, Jr. was advertising on Facebook that he built custom cabinets (Roberts Custom Woodworking). I contacted him and asked for an estimate at my new home. His estimate was lower than other cabinet makers so I told him he had the job. He asked for 50% up front. I gave him a check $4425.00 on 6/6/21. He sent me a text on 8/10/21 and told me he had made some bad decisions and had spent the money and I could sue him. We tried calling him and texting him but he would not answer us. After this occurred I found out he had done the same thing to some other people. At this time I have filed a police report in Marshall County, AL.
