I inquired about a beagle puppy that I found online. The breeders name was Robert Thompson. He was supposedly located in El Paso Tx. After inquiring I started to wonder if it might be a scam. I did some digging around online and found several complaints about puppy scams linked to Robert Thompson. His sale tactics were the same as others described. He claimed they were lowering the price because they had a new litter due in a few weeks. Claimed to have a shipping company they dealt with and could ship your puppy anywhere in the continental US. He texted me around 5:30 from 1-325-255-0145 to see if I was definitely interested in the puppy. I’m glad I looked into him because I definitely was interested in the puppy. What a shame people do this.

On september 28, 2020 i was interested in purchasing a shiba inu puppy, so i found a website called HOme Raised Shiba Inu Puppies. I contacted them on purchasing one of their puppies and they informed me of what to expect for the adoption and delivery process. They claimed to be located in El Paso, Texas so shipping the puppy was going to be the only option for me to recieve it. I mentioned that i was hesitant about the transaction because i was unsure if the breeder was legit. He said we were going to doa sales contract to further reassure me that i would recieve the puppy. I spent the rest of the day contemplating on if i should go through with the purchase. The seller was willing to settle for the price of $700 for the puppy, so the next day i went through with the purchase. We both signed the contract and after he rushed me to zelle his cashier, so he could immediately ship the puppy out to the nearest airport to me. Claiming that i would recieve the puppy the same day if i paid soon enough to catch the flight. Since i didn't have the funds on my debit to zelle $700 to him, I asked my cousin to pay him as soon as possible so he could ship the dog the same day. Once he paid their cashier and showed them the zelle confirmation they started to act strange. They told me that they couldn't get a flight the same day and then said they'll try the next day. Now on September 30, 2020 they are claiming that it is hard for them to get a flight for the puppy. At this point I didn't want to deal with the uncooperative breeder anymore and i wanted a refund for the dog since it hasn't been shipped yet. He refuses to give me a refund and has now stopped replying to me. I had my boyfriend try to email him to see if the dog was still available to be sold. He contacted my boyfriend back saying the dog was available even after i had already paid for that puppy. The puppy named "Jessie" is still available on their website.
