I received a phone call from a young man who called me "Grandma" and asked me how I was doing, I asked him how school was going and he said that he was in school right now because he was attending the funeral of the father of a friend of his from Springfield. My grandson lives in Kansas City. We talked about how we were doing and he said that he had been meaning to call me but he had been busy with school. Then he said that he needed to talk to him about something in private. He had been in a car accident and the lady who he had hit was six months pregnant and they were holding him in jail until he could post $9500 bond. He asked that I help him and had to call his lawyer, Robert ****** ** *** ******** and refer to the case No. #49B19. He said that he had a swollen nose and that was why he sounded a little funny. He had to go because he was only allowed one phone call and asked that I please call his lawyer. As soon as I hung up, I received a call from Robert Burns from the Public Defender Office, ************ and started asking for my name and address, etc. I asked the individual's name, and he wouldn't release that information until I gave him mine. He said that my grandson had put me down as his emergency contact, which I did not believe. I told him that I could not help him and hung up.

I was playing with sweepstakes trying to win. A female called me and said I had won 5,000. She then transferred me to Robert who proceeded to inform me I had won 9,000 in Federal Grant Money. He stated all I had to do is take 250.00 Dollars to Walmart and then Call Him. That's when I knew it was Most likely a Scam.

In Closing I want to say I appreciate the ScamPulse.com and the Fantastic work you do. God Bless you all... In fact I would love to Work there..

Contact by a "robert" via text message from (614)996-3227. Asked if I could cater a party for 200 people for mother's birthday may 23-25th 2017. let him know what dates i have available and if he could pay by any major credit card. I stated i needed to check my calendar and asked what he was looking for. he states to get a full menu and get back to him to his wife's email [email protected]. It is odd that he did not provide any info besides 200 and date. No menu etc. And most of the time caterers like myself require half in case up front. I researched the email address and phone, and there were lots of comments stating these people were scammers.

He called back and said his name was Robert and how he wanted to give us a lump sum of money that we would not have to pay back
