Received email with my name and my email coming from PayPal giving confirmation of an order I supposedly placed, which I did not. Date of purchase 12/13/2023 in the amount of $299.99 for product BTC (Bitcoin) as it appeared in email. There is a confirmation # 1585004597. Giving a phone # (888) 513-4103 if I wished to cancel the order. Email saying "Thanks and Regards Regina Jenkins PayPal Support Team. FU4UDARS8o0. The heading said Dear -my name and then ed37cd12-3ff8-4adb-998f-b301c57898f8 Thanks, Regina Jenkins. I did call. The gentleman said they had been getting these scams. I would have to go into my laptop and go to an address. I have Norton virus program installed, it wouldn't let me continue on. I told the gentleman this, he said I would have to uninstall Norton to get to the program to disable it, then reinstall Norton. I told him "no I'm not doing that". He argued with me, I kept saying I wasn't going to do that, he hung up. I did report this to the Federal Trade Commission. There was an image which I opened. I have it printed out and I saved it to my gmail folders for future use. Thank you.
