I also just went through the same thing. For me, they offered me different positions. I chose one and they THEN sent me a contract to sign. No mention of commencement date. No mention of specifically MY city. A training period lower paid than min. wage. And some spelling errors. Every time, they seemed very rushed. IE Must hear back within 3 days or will move to someone else. i also got the same fishy feeling. I'm glad I double-checked - and thank you so very much for sharing! They only got my name address and phone # but that can be found on the internet. Once they asked for me to scan in my documents and send to them via email? I knew something was up.

They used Indeed.ca to send me a job offer. When indeed sends emails like this, you can either click that you're interested, to let the employer know, or decline. I clicked "interested". Following that was a back and forth email correspondence with Nikki O'Neill; the Manager. At first it seemed legitimate, but after a while it seemed fishy. Email responses seemed contrived and my questions weren't responded to. I answered typical job screening questions and then Nikki emailed to thank me for accepting the job... which I hadn't. I was still under the impression this was part of the application process, based on the previous emails. She also didn't clarify which job I was accepted for, as I indicated previously that I was interested in two of the ones listed. She sent a contract requiring that I send personal information, such as copies of my drivers license, passport, banking info, etc, and still did not answer my questions - most notably, Where I would be working. Upon a quick Google search, their company was nowhere to be found. Their fake website looks very professional though: www.ridgevestdevelopments.com
