On or about February 2, 2017 I saw a posting on Craigslist (Id.no. 5980766785) for a rental vacation week in Dewey Beach, DE. I contacted the owner via email advising him of my interest in renting the property July 8-15, 2017. I asked for the actual address of the property since I wanted to view it prior to renting. He insisted that I execute a Contract and wire transfer the deposit of $1,200.00 to a Chase Bank account in California prior to viewing the property. I wired the funds from Citizens Bank on February 7, 2017. I returned home and checked my email for his verification. There was none. I then checked Craigslist and the posting was removed from the listing. He contacted me subsequently asking for proof of the deposit slip. I went to the bank who confirmed that the wire was sent and debited from my account. I just do not wish anyone else gets scammed like it did. Renters beware!!!
