RICARDO MALTIPOO FAMILY Reports & Reviews (2)

My mom just got scammed by these [censored] . There new website is iheartfamily.com. They keep asking for more money from her and saying the money didn’t go through. I don’t have all the details, but I’m pretty sure it’s the same people. They operate out of “Cody, Wyoming.” There’s a special place in Hell for people like this.

First and foremost, I was looking for a puppy for my dad for the holidays since his had passed away. I was trying to restore the love back into his heart and get my dad another best friend. I searched puppies on the internet and I clicked on a link called Pet City (a local pet store in our mall) and there was a column that said "other sites you maybe interested in" so i clicked on the Ricardo Maltipoo Family link and it took me to their site. Be in mind it had said they were part of the AKC so I made the mistake in trusting what I was seeing at the time. The person "Ricardo" and I had got into contact after I found the puppy that I wanted. Everything seemed to be in good standing, "Ricardo" was asking all of the right questions as if I was adopting the puppy. They asked, what the puppy would be eating, how many kids would be around him, the vet clinic name that we used, if I had ever owned a dog, how often he would get out and exercise, etc. So I was liking that they were very concerned about the puppies well being, After I answered all of their questions, "Ricardo" then sent me an email stating that he and his wife had agreed with one another and sell me a puppy (rocko.) We have at least 70 written emails back and forth to one another. The puppy was on their website along with 6 or 7 other puppies but Rocko was going to be sold to me for $600 with airline shipping if necessary. The company said they were based out of Cody, Wyoming and I live in Colorado Springs which would have been just under a 9 hour drive. He then offered me the shipping proposal for and additional $250 which sounded perfect because that is a long drive to and from. So we had agreed to do a transaction and have Rocko sent to us from Cody Wyoming to the Colorado Springs Airport. The transaction was done through Zelle, he had sent me a few emails to wire the money to ($850) ([email protected], [email protected]) The very next day I get an email from "Ricardo" stating that Rocko was at the airport and that the shipping company will get into contact with me. At that time I had gotten another email from "Ricardo" with a tracing number, date and times that the puppy would leave and arrive to Colorado Springs Airport. About an hour after that email, the shipping company "fast way global and logistics relocation service" (fastwayclobalcourier.com) (Jamiel) had reached out to me and stated that the sender "Ricardo" had taken the puppy to their services but the puppy was in a standard plastic kennel and stated that before the flight the puppy needed to placed into a thermal electronic crate due to the cold weather we've been having and didn't want the Rocko to freeze to death on the flight. The email that "Jamiel" had sent me stated that there were 3 different options I could choose from, the options to rent one ranged from $950, $1,150, $1,600. the email also stated that they would charge me $50 and reimburse the difference once they had gotten their thermal crate back. I had chosen the one for $1,150.00 and expected to get $1,100.00 back. I also used Zelle for this payment. I then got into contact with "Ricardo" and asked if Rocko was in good hands due to them not being able to ship him the same day as I sent the payment. "Ricardo" then told me that Rocko was in good hands and that Rocko would be shipped the following morning. That next morning 12/01/2020 I had received another email from Fastway global Courier (Jamiel) stating "URGENT PET INSURANCE REQUIRED" the email said that they needed another $1,500 sent to them before they put Rocko onto the plane to be shipped. I then called "Jamiel" (406) 500-9619 and spoke with him directly. I asked "Jamiel" why he didn't tell me about this the night before when we were talking about the shipping crate and he had stated that it was a new policy that was just set into play. I then asked "Jamiel" how long ago the policy came into play and he stated "a few weeks ago" which I in turn said, "well that was 2 weeks ago and last night is passed the 2 weeks, so I should have been notified about this last night" "Jamiel then started to back pedal and stutter. I then asked "Jamiel" if this was some sort of a scam to steal my money and he stated that him and his company do not work like that and that they weren't them types of people. I told "Jamiel" not to worry about shipping Rocko and that I would drive the 8.5 hours to get him. "Jamiel" said okay, I will cancel the shipment of Rocko. I then got a hold of "Ricardo" right away by email and phone number (didn't answer my calls but returned my email) and asked him if I was being scammed due to me sending him at this point $2,000.00 and getting nowhere. He called me and stated that he wasn't a scammer and I had told him that I was going to take the drive out to Cody Wyoming to get Rocko and "Ricardo" said, okay. I told "Ricardo" that I was leaving at 11:00 am mountain time and that I would be in Cody Wyoming around 7:30 pm mountain time. "Ricardo" then suggested that I take a flight instead of driving and I had told him that I wasn't going to fly out there if I had to pay $1,500.00 for puppy insurance to get him back. "Ricardo" then agreed to give me his address to pick the puppy up. (1413 Rumsey Ave. Cody Wy 82414) I then proceeded to put that email into my maps and started my drive to Wyoming. Be in mind Cody Wyoming is about an 8.5 hour drive, I didn't reach out to "Ricardo" until I was in Casper Wyoming about 5 hours and 20 minutes into driving. I emailed "Ricardo" and stated that I was in Casper Wyoming and that I would be in Cody Wyoming in about 2 more hours. I got an email back from "Ricardo" moment later with him stating, "stop driving and go back. Its a scam. I then said some really nasty things out loud but not at him like I would like to. I really thought "Ricardo" was joking until I called the phone number provided. (307) 363-8660 and it had been disconnected, well i thought anyway. They only have whomever they scam blocked. I have called that number through my work phone and a few friends have called that number and it rings. I have actually had someone call me back from that line on my work line today 12/03/2020. I have numerous emails from these people. They have AKC on their website and they have been up and running since 2012, that is a long time to scam thousands upon thousands of people. Thank you for reading my issue.
