I was contacted by a recruiter through Careerbuilder and was invited to apply as a home based escrow manager for a company opening an office in Boston, MA. After completing a background check, I was hired on for a 3 week probationary period, which promised to be paid $3250 after completion of the 3 weeks. The position also said I would be paid every two weeks and would make $51000 per year before taxes with full benefits, paid vacation and paid holidays. I was asked to open a checking account strictly for the business so transactions could be made through there and it would be paid by the company.

After completing my first client, which was sending money overseas for antique car parts, I noticed unusual transactions on my bank account set up for the company. After sending a message to my supposed supervisor, access to the online web portal designated for the company was deactivated. The phone number listed on the website for the "supervisor" was sent to voicemail and messages/emails were not returned.
