I got a call from a private number, this is Brendan Scott, this is an attempt to collect a debt, time sensitive, call 888-571-6540 (CA). I called a talked to Valerie Smith, 619-872-2500, who said the total amount due is $3700. She said it would be more if it went to court. She said if I made arrangements today, she would reduce it. She wanted $1577. I told her I could make 3 payments. She said let me go across the hall to the attorney. She said they accepted it. Then she said where will the monthly payments come from, and I said my debit card. She asked for the debit card number. I said wait. I want to make sure I'm paying off a debt. She emailed me a docusign to sign. At noon, she called to ask if I signed the doc. I said i hadn't looked at it. I called back, and it was answered: Resolution & Recovery. At 6pm, I got an email saying the docusign was voided. This morning, I called BBB.
