The instagram handle for this "shop" is @resinbarkshop. The girl that runs this is named Mae Dunlop or potentially Jessie-Mae Dunlop, and also goes by Fennecc. She has been scamming people since at least February, 2021, but I have heard stories as far back as a year and a half ago. She sells dog tags, and has scammed at least 20 different people now that I'm aware of off the top of my head, but I think its closer to 30. My experience with her started on August 18th, 2021. She tried to scam me, I ordered 3 dog tags from her, she emailed me right after saying that she was out of one of the items I ordered and asked if I wanted to switch it out for something. I answered her immediately saying that I was fine with that and asked if she had anything similar I could switch it with. She didn't answer me for a few weeks. She was posting on her instagram stories and saying that she had shipped everything up until august 30th, but I hadn't received any news from her on my order or a shipping confirmation. I wasn't sure if she got my email, so I tried emailing again to the email linked to her instagram page. she didn't answer. I direct messaged her on instagram and asked her if she got my email and gave her my name and order number. again, no response and she was posting on instagram multiple times a day, so I know she saw my message. I then submitted question through the question box on her website to see if she would answer that. Still nothing and still posting on instagram about the stuff she was making. I messaged her one more time on instagram, and no response. So, I commented on her most recent post politely, asking if she saw my emails or messages. She then deleted my comment and then muted me so nobody else could see my new comments. I told one of my friends about it and got her to comment and ask her to message me to see what happens, and she deleted her comment and blocked her. Thats when I realized I was getting scammed. She then posted on her instagram story "all orders up to September 6th have been shipped". I messaged her and said if you aren't going to give me my order or my money back, I will go public on instagram in order to get your attention. once again, read my message and didn't answer. I commented again on her post, she deleted it. So, I posted on my instagram story a timeline of what happened and tagged her in the posts. I had multiple people commenting on her posts and messaging her asking what was happening with my order, who then had their comments deleted and were blocked. Then, I started receiving messages from people that followed me, and some complete strangers, telling me the exact same thing happened to them and they were still waiting on tags since February and had not been able to reach her and she was deleting their comments and blocked them. I talked to probably 20 people who saw my story reposted, and they had the same thing happen to them. A lot of them had called their credit card companies and disputed the charges, and were refunded. I had someone tell me she spent $150, did not receive an order and was blocked. she reported her to somewhere in Quebec, and never heard back. Another person spent $200 and was scammed. Someone I know with a large following reached out to me and said the same thing happened to her, and that she was going to post about it and see who else came forward. She had so many messages of people coming forward saying they got scammed, but couldn't do anything about it because she just deletes comments and then blocks, so her account looks like a legit business. Some people received their tags, but only partial orders, or they were damaged, or were not what was pictured on the website or had completely wrong names and phone numbers on them. She completely ignored the allegations and continued posting like normal. She wouldn't answer me until I said "okay well I just reported you to the business bureau so you take care" and she answered almost instantly, after ignoring me for a month and some people for a year, saying "I've been in and out of the hospital", which she has said to people for months. Okay, then why are you deleting comments and blocking people? And posting on social media that you have sent out all orders but many people have been trying to reach you? Its fine if you are ill and need some extra time to finish orders, I get that. Normal "business owners" would reach out and apologize for the delay or refund. not delete peoples comments and blocking anyone that questions you. I am disgusted that she has scammed this many people, and still has a shop running. She told me that she "shipped my order" and sent me a screenshot of the app on her phone saying "order fulfilled august 27th". I didn't receive a shipping confirmation, and I didn't receive an answer of what she was going to replace my order with since she was out of one. Just because she screenshotted that she "fulfilled it", is just a button she can press. it doesn't mean anything. She also sent me a screenshot saying she refunded me, which I actually did receive. It sucks that it had to come to that for her to send a refund. I only know one other person who received a refund, the many others got nothing. After all of this, she made a post saying her shop was "temporarily closed" and then put it on her website. She messaged one victim saying she was going to stop selling tags forever, after she completed her last orders. The next day, she changed her website back so you can still order, but it still said closed on the home page. She also put closed in her instagram bio. This all happened from September 10-12, 2021. Yesterday, she made a post saying she was doing some orders, and took the "closed" out of her bio and I believe she has started selling tags again, as she is still taking orders. Although I did receive my refund, many others did not. I don't want to see this happen to anyone else. So I was a victim of this scam, but I did have a resolution. I am sending in this report to stop her from continuing, and to possibly help anyone else that lost money get some of it back.
