Getting repeated calls on my cell phone from 716-203-1180 from a phishing scam (Google it for yourself) trying me to take a survey and then to log onto their website, researchrewards.net with the promise of being entered into a drawing for a $200 gift card. No option to speak to anyone and no option to "opt out" from receiving calls. This violates Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and I wish ScamPulse.com and government regulators would shut these people down! DO NOT CLICK ON ANYTHING ON THEIR WEBSITE AS THIS IS A PHISHING EXPEDITION! CONSUMERS BEWARE!!!

It the "yes" scam phone call. I was asked if I could hear them and I said "yes, I can." Claimed I had won a prize. I hung up.

When my phone rang someone asked me "Can you hear me?". I was at work and just automatically answered yes. Then I realized what I had done and hung up. I called the number back and that is how I got the name of the place that had called me. I am worried that by saying "yes" I may have done something wrong. I would like to know if there is anything I can do to undo any damage I may have caused by saying "yes".

Consumer received phone message. Returned the call since it appeared to be a local call. Recording said "Research Rewards". Lady came on, she said "Can you hear me now?" Consumer said "Yes". Lady went on to say that he had been selected to win his choice of gift cards. Consumer said "no thank you" and ended the call. Consumer is concerned that it may have been one of the "yes scams" he's been hearing about.

The call began with the question "can you hear me?"

My response was "yes"

I have since learned that scammers are recording your yes response and using it to verify that you have given authorization for some kind of purchase, sweepstakes, or whatever the scam may be.

The call took place yesterday so its too soon to tell if activity is connected to credit cards or banking.

I received a call today at 2:27pm asking "Can you hear me" and then said you have won...and I immediately hung up after I realized that I replied with "Yeah". I remembered hearing about companies using your "yes" as means to purchase something or possible identity theft. I am very concerned and not sure what to do. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

Caller said, "Can you hear me?" She then went on to try and get me to enter into a sweepstakes for a $200.00 gift card. The minute she said her promoting I panicked because I remembered hearing about the "yes scam." I asked her if she was calling me from the 616-326-1430 number that appeared on my caller id. She said no. I told her I was going to report her to the police. She disconnected the call.

I'm so mad at myself because normally I know when it's going to be a sales call. However, because it was a local number I wasn't even thinking of scam!!!!
