Found a Honda utv on the Tampa Craigslist. Actual poster sent back an email explaining that he hire Repurpose Consignment Sales to handle the transaction because he had some family issues going on. The website looked legit, no bad review sites, like this one. I wire money. Have never received item.

I answered an ad on Craigslist for an Airstream trailer. The man selling it said he was dealing with a family health issue and so he was busy and never talked on the phone with me. He said he was using a consignment business that he had used since 2017. I paid through the consignment business website which looked official and I couldn’t find anything on line saying that company was fraudulent. The trailer was supposed to be delivered to my house. The date kept changing. Then they claimed the trailer was damaged in a car accident during transport and we would get a refund from the insurance company. All communication is through their website. No one answers the phone at Repurpose Consignment Sales. They are not registered as a California company. Their address does not appear to list their business name with a google map search. I think they are fraudulent and I was scammed since I have not received a refund.

I too think I was scammed since I haven’t received my utv. I have contacted my states attorney general. And my local sheriffs department told me to file a complaint on ic3.gov. It is an fbi website for scams over $10k.

I answered an ad on Craigslist and he emailed back saying the RV was on consignment with Repurpose Consignment Sales (a well known consignment business, I never heard of them). The so called owner's email included a ID number for the RV which I inquired about on the website of the consignment company. The website company had contact information but did not have the personnel to answer the phone so I emailed the company as requested. They did respond within the 24 hours as stated. The website claims to have many locations but could not find a location for the city where the RV was suppose to be located. I also wanted to view the RV but email correspondence said I could only see the RV a couple of weeks later (as they were too busy with so many customers) and may be sold before the viewing. The website email wanted me to register with them with bank information. The scam is that you register with the company with payment information and the ID number of the item you want (gotten from Craigslist or Ebay) and they will mail or even ship you the item (cars and RVs) and you have 10 days to accept the item. If you do not like it, you can return it. All shipping included. (seller pays shipping both ways - thus forcing better descriptions of items)
