Ricky Leon posted a rental at 1857-1 S Beverly Glen Blvd, Los Angeles, CA for $800.00 with a deposit of $300.00. The rental was posted for a 1-bedroom, 1 bathroom, big apartment in a decent area, which is way below the rates for such a rental. The person claimed he was in Kentucky and that he had cancer and had to move, so wanted to rent the property to someone who would take care of it. He posted pictures and sent me an application with instructions to send the $1,300.00 via Zelle. He kept pressing me to send the application, which I did but only included my address and phone number, and said he would rent it to me without even checking my credit or asking about it. I researched the property and found out a private company owned it and was leasing it for $2,1600 on Zillow.com and Trulia.com. I told the fraudster that I was no longer interested and found the listing suspicious. I want to report this fraud.
