I thought I had purchased four chairs from Renaia Furniture. I place the order online, and paid through PayPal with my American Express for $519.96. After 2 Days I changed my mind, as I realize the chairs I had purchased we’re not fully put under a table. I tried to contact the company by phone, but the number always rang busy or disconnected. After a week of not receiving any shipping information, I sent an email to their service email address requesting to cancel my order. I never received any response. I still tried calling several times, but the number still failed to reach anybody to discuss my issues. After about two weeks of my order being place, two of the four chairs arrived at my house. They were marked in boxes labeled world market place. Immediately I question where did these chairs come from, as I did not purchase anything from world market place but they were the identical style. I tried calling Renaia furniture again, still unsuccessful. Two days later, the other two chairs arrived. Again in world market place boxes. At this point I took it upon myself to reach out to world market place. Maybe this furniture company was another distributors, or a sister company. After speaking with customer service, they did confirm that the chairs were 2 separate orders. Both under my name but with fraudulent email addresses one containing my full name. Each of the orders were around $386, definitely totaling over $700, and more than what I had spent on their website. I then looked into it with my American Express, and my PayPal payment went to an individual by the name of Pham Houng Son, defiantly not Renaia Furniture. Luckily for me, my husband had already had our credit cards or place for another reason about a week ago. However, I really do wonder who this Pham individual is. As well as where they got the additional funds to pay more for these chairs to world market place than what they had advertised on their website to me. I’m also still sitting here with these four chairs that I don’t want, and I can’t return. And now I likely need to open an identity investigation with the police for. Renaia Furniture is a is scam.
