It was my first time selling furniture on OfferUp. The person offered me full price. However, they asked that I sent more pictures to an email. He/she stated that he will purchase them and requested my address because he said he was going to send me a check. It took about a week before I received the check but the check was for a higher amount and he stated that he I would to pay the movers who were coming to pick up the furniture. I deposited the check and the next day it looked like the funds were available. He asked that I transferred the money to the movers, which I did. In my mind I did because it was "his" money and not mine. However, in the afternoon I got an alert from my bank that the check had been placed on hold. I texted the individual and he stated that everything will be okay. I requested my money back and of course I did not get it.
