After taking my microwave apart, the service technician of Reliable Appliance Service, Inc. wrote up a repair estimate of $620.76. He did NOT itemize this estimate for me. He collected the $89.95 service fee and left my home somewhat in a hurry.

I tried numerus time via phone and e-mail to get an itemized break down of this estimate, but without success. My home owner warranty would not authorize this repair. Of course - I could purchase a new one for this amount of money....To have this issue resolved, I had to attempt to get the microwave fixed before it could be replaced. A 2nd opinion by another appliance repair service was performed and the part extracted that actually was broken is a $35.00 relay part.

I am appalled at the "ease" this company is scamming people like this. Especially in times like these....

I contacted Reliance via phone and also e-mail again, requesting a refund of my service fee....so far without any luck.

Our freezer making a loud noise and our ice maker was not working. We contacted Reliable Appliance Service. They came out and told us we needed a new ice maker and condenser. After spending over $500 our freezer was having the same issues two weeks later! We contacted them several times only to find that there is another company with the exact same name. This company has a nice website and looks reputable but no one answers calls or emails. I am curious if it is there to throw customers off. We finally found our receipt, which was stuck behind a drawer and called a different number and finally spoke to someone only to be told we would have to pay for labor "if repairs were needed". Of course repairs are needed! It was never fixed after a supposedly new ice box was put in. I have now called and spoken to three different people who have given me the runaround, clearly trying to just get me off the phone. I have now seen their Yelp page which has 498 reviews of which 426 are a 1 star! Everyone has a similar complaint. Paying for a repair that it is not actually repaired.
