Filled out application through LinkedIn for legitimate company and HR staff name but different email extension. Received email, requested set up RingCentral and interviewed via chat messaging (first oddity) 2 days later, asked non personal identifiable questions, then offered job via email. Again questionable but since remote position possible. Also salary seemed high. Asked to write essay and then sent email check for 4950 to purchase equipment. .Emailed back saying not comfortable since check was from a Somerville Housing Authority. Asked to explain and never received response.
