I saw a similar narrative and copied part of it to save time: Facebook ad, showing a video of a remote controlled lawn mower which appeared to be quite a good mower, actually mulching the weeds as it rolled over them. It showed a person with a remote controller using it walking along beside it. I believe it was a gas engine mower. I ordered it on line August 13, 2021, and finally received a package on August 31, 2021. Only.....I didn't receive the remote mower, I received a weed eater, worth about $5.00, which you assemble yourself and all this fit in my mail box in a package 14.5" long, 4.5" wide and about 2" deep, and said, "Zip Trim, The Cordless Trimmer that does it all. Runs on batteries, (not included), and it cost me $66.99 plus $9.99 postage, which they took via PayPal. Correspondence with seller was a stall that lasted about 3 weeks with progressively higher and higher offers of partial refund until finally they said "Sorry for the fact that we can't help you to solve this problem anymore because our system has been hacked which is no longe working.

You can open a dispute through Paypal or Credit Card Bank to get your money back." I saw another victim posted similar treatment, including the "hacked" BS, on another fraud/scam reporting site. I filed claim with PayPal and started looking for ways to report these fraudsters.
