- Athens, GA, USA

They sent a text that they received my resume from the career builder website. Once I responded that I was interested they sent information about the job. I was then asked if I had a Microsoft Teams ID to move forward with the interview. I created an account and added the hiring manager. It seemed like a normal interview. Although we were just messaging each other instead of talking over the phone or video. He was very detailed about the job. I began to think it was a scam once I accept the offer and was told that a check would be sent in the mail (via fedex) for work supplies. There was also $150 sign on bonus for me to kept. I needed to send the receipts of everything purchased. Then I would recieve the check once I filled out and signed the documents. I looked up the address on the documents and it came up as a UPS store. After that I researched the company to try to find a phone number to confirm. When I did get to talk to someone, they said that it was a scam.
