When called back and staying on the line long enough, a woman answers, and asks to confirm your name and last 4 of your SSN. After confirming this, she goes on to talk very quickly about a certain claim number and that this is pertaining to some sort of loan that was never payed back, and they also have a lot of personal information to help their case, including address, old bank account name and number, and certain dates for things.
After telling me a number on this loan that I owe, which they said was $300 even, I told her that I had no debt like this, and this has to be fraudulent. She confirmed that's what I said, then told me "I hope you have a good lawyer"
Yesterday, I received my daily phone call from them, (which happens only on weekdays), and I told the woman I would contact the authorities if this keeps happening. The phone went silent, but did not disconnect. I waited about 20 seconds in silence, but I ended up hanging up.
