Dolls received are nothing like what was pictured on the website. When a request for refund is made, they first offered 15% and then 20% and keep the dolls. In order to get a full refund, I have to return the dolls at my expense to China. They do not allow returns to their supposed warehouse in the US. I don’t know the exact cost of returning the product yet.

A doll was ordered for a little girl for her birthday. The doll was listed on the reborndollshop.com website as Lifelike Alina Reborn, for $122.00 plus a shipping fee, for a total of $157.00. This was supposed to be a battery operated doll, but what was mailed to the youngster was a non-battery operated doll worth $25 or so at best. We contacted them by phone and e-mail ([email protected]), telling them to simply mail the correct doll to the child. They then played scammer games, but did not correct the mistake they had made by sending the correct doll. There were no follow-up to phone calls to us. They sent e-mails asking for the order number in response to e-mails that had provided all other required information. They sent e-mails offering refunds of $10 to $20. One said "As a honest seller, we are not willing to let our dear valued customer suffer any losses. We are willing to offer 20$ to you as a comprehension, are you willing to accept it?" (Their typos, not ours...)

We found 70 complaints about Reborndollshop.com in just the PayPal community postings about a cheap doll being sent instead of what was actually purchased. The Better Business Bureau lists this: "BBB has had significant complaint activity (140) involving various businesses that have their orders fulfilled and shipped from this address. Mail sent to this address has been returned to ScamPulse.com as undeliverable. ScamPulse.com has been unable to identify a physical presence in NJ for these businesses and cannot process complaints." These are people committing interstate fraud, financially damaging adults and emotionally damaging children. The little girl in this case cried when she saw the cheap doll that was mailed to her. These are scammers that should not be allowed to have a business anywhere. They belong in jail.
