I was approached via email by someone claiming to be Rebecca Palmer from Clarametyx (a legitimate company, as far as I could tell). She has no LinkedIn presence and I was unable to verify her employment with the company. The email was unsolicited and she said they found my resume on LinkedIn and wanted to interview me for a remote data entry position. I agreed to a virtual interview the next day at 2p. An invite to use the app Ring Central was sent to me for the interview process. The interview was initiated 40 minutes late with a block of text describing how it would proceed as a text-based interview. At this point, the scam was exactly as others have described from their own encounters so I blocked the email address and removed the app, then reported it here.
