Received a text message from "Readers Digest" stating that I had won 2nd place in their lottery and had won $10,000,000. I just needed to purchase a Vanilla One gift card for $200 to pay for the fees associated with the delivery of the money. I knew it was a scam. They told me to claim my money I needed to call 888-771-8544

Consumer called in:

Gentleman called me telling me that I just won 1.2 million from Reader's Digest. He asked me for my name, birthdate, address, and social. I told him that I would call BBB before I gave him my social.
